What kind of award is this?

Today I just had my Eagle Court of Honor and I was perpared to be enraged about the medal that I would be presented for my efforts from my freind's ceremony that I attended. For those that do not know what a Eagle Court of Honor is it is a ceremony for the highest rank/ achievement in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). It is earned by having the scout earn 24 merit bages and plan and carryout a leadeship service project for some other oganization that is not BSA. There is more to the criteria and is harder to do then it sounds. This is the highest achievment that can be earned and is mostly about giving back to the people that helped you when you were younger by giving back to the community. Everything that happens during the project was planned and lead by the scout.
What drives me insane is that the national office has made a ton of budget cuts that is to be expected during a tough economy but, they have cheaped out in the making of the metals and pins associated. I have to pay for the metal which the price has not changed from when the metal was made from puter to aluminum. originally it was made of silver and then changed to puter and now it changed to cheap printed white metal. It is insulting to me that the national office would pull sucb a low blow. There are few that actually like and respect council or national they just stay for the programand the principles that are written and fallowed by the volunteers. I like those people and have no respect for council or national.
